artists and vendor applications for 2019 are open until May 31

Please note this very important change: The 2019 Feast of Lanterns Artist Vendor Area will be a juried event with emphasis on quality handmade goods. What this means is that completing this application does not guarantee acceptance to vend at the event. We review every application to ensure a good quality and variety of vendors at our event.

Applications will close on May 31st and you will be notified of your acceptance to the event no later than 11:59 pm on June 12th. Once you are accepted, you will be invoiced via PayPal.

The booth fee for 2019 is $100 and is due by June 28th. Failure to pay on time may forfeit your space or be subject to a $25 late fee.

10’ x 10’ Booth spaces/ locations will be assigned prior to the start of the event. Booth sharing is allowed only with prior pre-approval.

All items should be local business or handmade type items. Direct sale type items (tupperware, Thirty-One, Jamberry, etc. are not accepted at this event).

BY SUBMITTING THIS APPLICATION YOU AGREE TO THE BELOW INFORMATION. PLEASE READ AND ACKNOWLEDGE: Please note that upon submission of this form, you should NOT expect a confirmation email. VENDOR SPACE: Each vendor is responsible for providing his or her own tents, tables, chairs, and display surfaces. There is no specific requirement to what your set-up should look like, but we strongly encourage creativity with how you display yourselves and your goods and will have a preference towards vendors who plan to use handmade or fabricated signage that will add to the visual fabric of the Feast environment. Each potential applicant must apply individually and be accepted to participate as such. Feast of Lanterns will not be responsible for any damage or theft of personal belongings or merchandise. Vendors are responsible for their own area and we advise that vendors carry their own insurance. Any accidents caused by a vendor’s set-up or goods will be the responsibility of that vendor. The Feast of Lanterns and Lanterns Foundation is not responsible for any personal injury during our events. Feast of Lanterns and the Lanterns Foundation has the right to deny your participation in any or all of the event at any time. VENDOR FEES: Upon application completion, it will be reviewed by our board before approval. Once approved a $100 fee will be requested from the paypal email on your application. Unfortunately we cannot give refunds for vendors fees if something comes up or if the weather gets sour (We'll be more disappointed than you). VENDORS RESPONSIBLE FOR sales taxes, licenses, permits, insurance and fees as necessary and/or required by law to conduct your business. STATE SALES TAX: All vendors are responsible for abiding by all tax laws and collecting the appropriate sales tax for Indiana on each sale. For more information about this you can contact the Indiana Department of Revenue or view taxation requirements on their website. FOOD SALES of any kind MUST be approved by the Feast Board. Applicant is responsible for obtaining approval from the Health Department for items sold. MEDIA RELEASE/CONSENT: I, the undersigned, do hereby release all rights or claims in connection with the photo(s)/videotape in which I appear, for use by The Lanterns Foundation and all sponsors. I understand that the photo(s)/videotape, if used, will be for the promotional purpose of assisting future Feast events. I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished photos and/or advertising copy. All photographs, negatives and videotapes shall constitute the sole property of the Lanterns Foundation and the Feast of Lanterns. I declare that I am of legal age and have every right to contract in my own name in the above regard.
